The Integrative Trauma Institute

The Integrative Trauma Institute provides training for mental health providers in the main areas of diagnosis, assessment and treatment providing in-depth teaching combing didactic, experiential and interactive teaching methods to optimize the learning experience.

The ITI is based on Deb’s experience as the Clinical Recovery Leader for the Newtown Recovery & Resilience Team created in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012 as well as the totality of her clinical practice as a trauma specialist. Deb was an invited faculty member for the American Counseling Association’s Disaster Mental Health Learning Institute in Montreal and has been a guest lecturer at several universities on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The ITI provides continuing education credits through the National Board of Certified Counselors. Services are offered in person, by telephone, or online.

Live: The Integrative Trauma Institute provides 1-2 day workshops throughout the United States.  These workshops provide customized training for agency staff, counselor educators and students providing continuing education which highlights the latest developments in treatment interventions, practical practice applications and assessment technique.

Online: The Integrative Trauma Institute provides online learning opportunities to enhance clinical skills without having to travel.  ITI webinars and e-course training allow for individualized, self-paced learning while addressing the components offered in live training. Continuing education credits are available.
